The Saturday morning study sessions on Gampopa's foundation text, the Jewel Ornament of Liberation, continue in 2024 at Kagyu Ling and online.
The study sessions follow up the teachings given from 2018 to 2022 by Lama Jampa at the Manchester shedra and are led by Jonathan Macaskill and John Sainsbury, the Kagyu Ling co-ordinators. These classes provide a refresher for people who attended the teachings, and enable anyone who missed one of Lama Jampa's teachings to plug the gap.
The Jewel Ornament of Liberation gives an introduction to the key points of Buddhism and covers the whole Buddhist path from its starting point to the achievement of enlightenment.
Dates for 2024
17 February; 16 March; 20 April; 18 May; 15 June.
Saturday Sessions run from 10am to 12.30pm with a short refreshment break at about 11am.
The sessions take place at Kagyu Ling Buddhist Centre in Manchester. People can also join online.

There is no need to book in advance, either for the in-person class at Kagyu Ling or the zoom event. And you don't need to commit to attend every session - you can just dip in and out for specific sections of the text where you might want a better understanding.
There is no charge but a suggested contribution of £3 would be welcomed, if you can afford it, for each class you attend either at Kagyu Ling or online. You can donate online.
