Lama Jampa Thaye

Lama Jampa Thaye is one of the most important western Buddhist masters of our time.

He is the founder of Kagyu Ling Buddhist Centre, Manchester, and is our main teacher.

A scholar and meditation master trained in the Sakya and Karma Kagyu traditions of Buddhism, Lama Jampa is authorized as a Lama and Vajrayana master by his two main teachers, Karma Thinley Rinpoche and His Holiness Sakya Gongma Trichen. He is also particularly close to HH Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje and has received teachings from over thirty masters.

He is the author of many books and maintains a busy annual programme of teachings and initiations for Dechen and other international dharma organisations. He visits Manchester regularly to give teachings and interviews to students.

Visit the website of Lama Jampa Thaye for more information and a full biography.

Check the events section to find the dates and details of Lama Jampa’s next teaching in Manchester.

In dharma, it is essential to keep a record of the teachings we have received. Visit the Record of Teachings pages.
